Beyonce - Mrs Carter Show

On Tuesday 30th April, after waiting for what seemed like forever since booking the tickets, my cousin and I headed to London's O2 arena to see Beyonce!!! I wouldn't call myself Beyonce's number one fan, but this show changed everything!

I've always listened to her music since her Destiny's Child days and love the way that Beyonce comes across as such a humble and down to earth person, despite her amazing life style and being constantly in the spotlight. I'd always wanted to see her live and had heard/seen about her tours in the past and after watching the Superbowl Half Time Show my expectations were high!

We reached the O2 at 6:30 and then went on to wait in the arena. At 9pm Beyonce took to the stage and it is safe to say that this was by far the best performance I have ever seen. She opened up with 'Run the World', which got everyone up and dancing straight away. The stage was split into two, one at the front and a second stage in the middle of the arena. Half way through the show Beyonce travelled down to the second stage on zip line harness in a spectacular cloud of glitter confetti. On this stage, with audience participation, she performed 'Irreplaceable, Love on Top and one of my Destiny's Child favourites, 'Survivor.'

Although throughout the show I didn't know every song, they were sung to perfection and her voice is just as incredible live as it is recorded! It completely blew me away. The show lasted for just over 2 hours, with beautiful costumes, theatrical videos, amazing dancers and background singers it kept you entertained from start to finish.

I am now looking forward to V Festival this summer for Beyonce round 2!!

Did any of you see the show? What did you think?
